The League Treatment Center
children’s programs offer comprehensive interdisciplinary services.
We provide cutting edge treatment that is highly individualized and
includes the full range of educational and clinical services. Families can
expect a warm and supportive environment that encourages their child’s
growth. Our treatment approach is informed by current research and
incorporates the “best practices” of each clinical discipline.
Our program has become the model for many other service providers. The League Treatment Center currently has openings in our Day Care, Inclusion, Pre-K, Kindergarten and School Age programs. Parents of children ranging from
two to five years old should contact Marisa Natale
at
(718) 643 – 5300 for more information. Parents of children from the ages of six to twenty-one should contact either Aubrey Reese or Susan Rich at (718) 498 – 2500 for more information. The League Treatment Center begins
the placement process with a comprehensive evaluation conducted by our
multi-disciplinary team. A
treatment coordinator, who is either a licensed psychologist or social
worker, is assigned to each child. The treatment teams develop
individualized educational and clinical goals. The League Treatment
Center’s programs offer a wide range of classrooms designed to meet the
specific learning needs of particular groups of children.
All of our classrooms feature a low student to teacher ratio.
Having a variety of classroom models allows us to determine the
setting in which each student learns optimally while insuring they are in
the least restrictive environment possible. The full range of clinical
services offered by The League Treatment Center’s skilled clinicians are
integrated throughout the school day. Clinicians, teachers, and parents
continuously review each child’s progress. These frequent reviews allow
for refinement of each student’s educational and clinical goals and
insure the highest degree of progress possible. Our full-time medical
department includes on-site nurses and psychiatrists supervised by Dr.
Mark Owens, Medical Director. Our board-certified psychiatrists perform
psychiatric evaluations on each child and are available for consultation
with both staff and families. In summary, The League Treatment
Center offers comprehensive treatment delivered in a welcoming environment
that encourages the full participation of families.
Parents can be assured that that each child entrusted to our care
enjoys an enriching and nurturing experience each day they attend school. |
